Eagle Mountain Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 3rd--We live in a wonderful town. Our little town does so many things for it's residents and this Easter Egg Hunt is just one of many. We set out to the big community park. There were eggs all over the field. There were sections for different age groups. Elise and Brady were in the same group. We got there pretty early to get a good spot. Holy moly it was freezing cold! There was still a little snow on the ground from the night before. The wind was chilling. I brought a huge umbrella just to block the wind, somewhat. The kids were excited so they spent the time waiting, just running around. Before we knew it, the firetruck sounded its horn and they were off. Kids were running everywhere with huge smiles on their faces. Elise & Brady filled their baskets with eggs stuffed with treats. Within a minute (yeah, that's all) those thousands of eggs scattered all over the ground were picked up. We flagged Elise and Brady to come back to us so we could open all the eggs and see what they got. Some eggs had numbers in them to take to a table and turn in for a prize. Unfortunately, neither of our kids got one but that was okay, they knew the Easter bunny was coming the next day. They got a lot of candy and we chuckled a little that they were all rock hard from the cold weather.

So we turned in all the plastic eggs back to the city and then got in our car to head back home and "thaw" out. The kids loved it and Nate and I always enjoy watching them.
